My Story

Hi! I'm Emily and I'm the jewellery designer and maker behind Emily Lisbeth Jewellery.

I came to jewellery design over 10 years ago after being made redundant from my Marketing job. I had worked for several housing developers, but by 2007 the bottom was falling out of the housing market. After taking redundancy for the second time, finding a job was getting increasingly difficult so I decided to use the opportunity to retrain.

I starting looking for part time courses at my local college but the first course to grab my attention was a BTEC in Jewellery design... two years full time. Despite now being a mature student I felt excited at the prospect of being back in the classroom doing something creative. I very nearly didn't sign up but it ended up being the best decision I have ever made!

I left college with a triple distinction and set about building my hoard of tools. After a little time out to make my most precious creation yet (my little boy Hudson), I'm now back doing what I love.

You will often find me in my spare time scouring the UK's beaches for seaglass with my little helpers. I get as excited about a beautiful rare piece of seaglass as I do about diamonds. These little treasures of the sea are truly one of a kind!

About the jewellery

Based from my studio in Cheshire, I use traditional silversmith techniques to handcraft unique contemporary jewellery. The quality of the materials is paramount, using eco silver and recycled gold where possible, in addition to semi-precious gemstones to create bespoke wearable art; much of which is either one of a kind or very limited edition.

I'm drawn to architecture so a lot of my pieces have a sculptural element to them, from the angular shape of an Art Deco building, to the texture of crumbling brick work on a dilapidated house. I'm fascinated by their history and imagine the story it has to tell. I see the diamond in the rough and that often translates into my collections with a little hidden diamond or discreet ball of gold.

I like to produce edgy, bold pieces with a raw organic feel for those that like their statement jewellery a little more understated. I, like you, value the difference between mass produced and hand made. In a world where there's so much throw away fashion, it's important to make conscious purchases and jewellery is no different. They're our contemporary heirlooms of the future, a justified indulgence designed to be enjoyed today and passed on tomorrow.

All jewellery is made by hand. By me. I can promise you an awful lot of love, care and consideration has gone into every piece. No two will ever be identical and that's part of its beauty; each piece is as unique as you are.

Whether you're after unique statement jewellery or every day essential click shop to find your perfect addition.

Hi! I'm Emily and I'm the jewellery designer and maker behind Emily Lisbeth Jewellery.

I came to silversmithing over 10 years ago after being made redundant from my marketing job...twice!

After a few months temping in completely sould destroying jobs I decided to look at some part time courses at my local college. I desperately needed a creative outlet from my mundane purchase ledger role. The first course to grab my attention was a BTEC in Jewellery design and applied arts but it was a 2 year full time course and I would be a mature student (albeit still in my 20's). Did I really want to be in a class with a load of teenagers? I very nearly didn't but so glad I did as it turned out to be the best decision I had ever made!

I left college with a triple distinction and set about building my hoard of tools. After a little time out to make my most precious yet (my little boy Hudson), I'm now back doing what I love.
